Grappas Last Night
To our faithful guests and friends, it is with deep sadness that I write this blog…Grappa Grille will be closing it’s doors after our final service this evening. Â We have enjoyed serving all of you over the years and we wouldn’t have been able to survive without your support. Â We would love to see you all one last time, so stop by, even if it’s just for a drink and an appetizer! Please feel free to leave any comments and share your favorite Grappa stories!Â
Northstar Merlot
The 2005 Northstar Merlot from Colombia Valley is on by the glass!  The blend: 76% merlot, 14% cabernet sauvignon, and 10% petite verdot.  This is one of those wines that totally opens up from the first sip to last which is rewarding in my option.  Big up front with vanilla aromas, it’s full bodied.  The tanins are tight to begin with but transitions into a velvety mouthfeel with a peppery finish.
Wine Wednesday for November 5
We’ve got some great pours for you this Wednesday for our third “Elegant Wine Wednesday”! Â The 2005 BV Tapestry, Â the 2005 Georges de Latour, and the 2005 Grgich Hills Chardonnay. Â Visit www.bvwines.com for more information and we hope to see you then! Â Â
Jake’s last night…
Please come out tonight to show your support and appreciation of a wonderful Grappa Grille employee on his last night of work! Jake got a job with Boeing in Saint Louis, Missouri; his start date is November 14. We are all so proud of him here at Grappa and hate to see him go. He has worked here for almost three years and has been a key player in the success of Grappa Grille. He will be greatly missed, we love you Jake!
Election Night
November 4th is Election Day and now you have another reason to vote! Â Bring in your “I Voted” sticker and receive penny wine- Â we’ll have a big screen TV at the restaurant so come in to check out the results! Â See you then…
“La Pallette”
The 2005 Culler “La Pallette” Cabernet Sauvignon [Napa] is new on our list and is delicious! Â La Pallette has a bold inky color with a juicy, peppery nose. Â Full bodied, it has a velvety and dry mouth feel…but it’s not overwhelming…the 9 percent Petite Verdot softens the palette and adds richness to the wine. Â It has pretty plum fruit and a long finish. Â I love this wine!
No tricks…only treats!
Come out Friday, October 31st for our second annual Halloween Party! It’s family night- bring the kids in costume for fun kid friendly specials and LOTS of candy! You’ll see your favorite Grappa faces all dressed up. Â Hope to see you then!
Elegant Wine Wednesday
Okay, I know it’s short notice, but we are pouring some fabulous reserve wines by the glass tonight. Â We have the 2006 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2006 Belle Glos “Las Alturas” Pinot Noir, and the 2006 Domaine des Gerbeaux Macon Pouilly Fuisse. Â It’s our answer to the fading economy, so come in and enjoy!

The Wine List is Finished!
…with the exception of a bit of tweaking… Â
We have picked up some exceptional and interesting blends which we are all so excited for. Â Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be highlighting my favorites.
The Odisea Angele (2007) is white Rhone style blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc. Â It has a round mouth feel with a great texture. Â Light bodied and balanced this wine has just a touch of honey. Â Look for it in the “semi-dry” section of our wine list.Â
Just a reminder- Our annual Fall Wine Release Party is this Saturday, October 11 at 7 PM. Â Call now to reserve your spot! See you then…
wine list update
Just to let you all know, our new fall wine list is in the works. Â Jodie and I have been busy trying to make sense of all of our wine notes in order to bring our guests interesting new wines! Â We are focusing on pairing our wines by the glass with our new fall menu which is scheduled to start October 1st. Â We still have a couple more weeks until we turn over all of our wines, but keep checking the wine list when you come in….it’s changing slowly but surely! Â
